Ditching & Grading Buckets

(11 products)

Our ditching and grading buckets are suitable for a variety of tasks:

  • leveling sites
  • cutting and cleaning ditches and drainage channels
  • light duty loading of heaped material

Depending on your area, these are sometimes also referred to as dyking, or dyker buckets, chut buckets, and even gummy buckets (because they have no teeth!) too.

Buckets for larger excavators can be specified with replaceable, bolt-on underblades, to make maintenance of a sharp, level edge faster and more convenient.

All our buckets are built in our works in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.

Alternative options:

The standard ditching or grading bucket is almost an essential tool for any size of excavator. However, for certain tasks, there may be other options more suited to the application.

For complex banks, grades and shapes, such as on drainage work or sports ground construction - golf courses, BMX or Moto-X tracks - a hydraulic-powered Tilt-Ditcher may be more efficient.

For levelling longer or wider areas, tracks or horse menages for example, a Grading Beam may be the answer.

If you have a hydraulic tilt-rotate type quick coupler, then a purpose designed Scandi Style Ditcher is almost certainly a better option than an ordinary item.

For forming narrower ditches and drains, a V-Ditching Bucket is likely to be the fastest and most consistent tool to use.
