These buckets are normally without teeth, as they are not generally suited to very hard, rocky ground. Teeth can be added as an optional extra. Drainage holes in the back plate help reduce sticking of material.

Dimensions
In general, both Taper Tile and V-Ditching buckets are built to designs that are standard for each excavator weight range.
We manufacture these trapezoidal shaped buckets based on three key dimensions:
- Top (overall) width - variable, within certain limits
- Depth of cut - fixed
- Base width - variable, within certain limits
There are usually choices for each machine size. We can build to custom dimensions, but this increases both the cost and lead times considerably.
