Timber Grabs

Our universal hydraulic grabs have 5 Hardox® tines (3+2) instead of two clamshells on a typical selector grab. This is more suitable for handling timber, logs and trees in agricultural and forestry work.

Hardox® Tines on all models

Tines on our Timber Grabs are made from Hardox® wear plate, for strength and durability.

Why Hardox® steel?

  • More than 3 times stronger than equivalent thickness of S275 or S355 mild steel.
  • More than 3 times harder than mild steel - far longer wear life.

Grab Mounting Options

  • Rigid Fixed Mount

    All our Selector Grabs and Timber Grabs can be kitted out with rigid, direct mount brackets.

    On some excavators, it is possible to specify a 2-way bracket, with 4 pins, so the grab can be picked up to grab either vertically or horizontally.

  • 360° Hydraulic Rotation Option

    For maximum dexterity and performance, all our Selector Grabs and Timber Grabs can be specified with optional extra, continuous 360° hydraulic rotation.

    Note: Your excavator will need either 2 auxiliary circuits (i.e. 4 pipes) or we can supply a solenoid switch to use a single circuit.
