Description

Digga Auger Package, with PDH3 HALO alignment system Earth Drill Drive Unit for 3.5 to 3.9 tonne mini excavators, with double pin cradle hitch and at least one tungsten auger flight. Price of auger flight added to package price at time of selection.

HALO alignment system, located in the hood ring of the auger drive, which provides an operator with a simultaneous clear line of sight to itself, as well as the hole being dug. HALO utilises a band of LED lights, which when fully illuminated green, indicate the drive is plumb.
Can also be set to drill specific angles with optional battery package. Otherwise is set plumb vertical and wires into excavator cab.

We build the cradle hitches to order, so they are on roughly 3-4 days maximum lead time.

Cradle Hitch & Drive Unit
Simple setup and installation:
1. Pick up the Cradle Hitch with your excavator quick coupler.
2. Connect the auger Drive Unit and hoses.
3. Check the hose connections are tight at BOTH ends!
4. On HALO drive units (pictured) you can also then connect the alignment unit.
Connect Flight
Choose the diameter of flight you require. The range of flights each drive unit can use is shown in the details and also within the selection list in the auger packages. Bigger diameter flights need more torque;
- Do a lot of drilling at larger diameters or harder ground? Look to the largest drive unit your excavator will carry.
- If you only do smaller diameter post holes, in easier ground, you can probably use asmaller drive unit.
When buying an auger package, you get discount, so it is cheaper to order all the sizes of flight you need at once.
Drill!

Ensure your excavator's auxiliary hydraulics are set to work in 2-way mode, so you can run the auger in forward and reverse.
You can drill to the depth of the flight. If you need to drill deeper, you can buy 0.5 or 1.0m extensions shafts.
If you have a HALO drive unit, you can use the built-in LED lights to ensure you're hole is plumb vertical;
GREEN for "Go!"
RED for "No!"

Earth Drill Auger Drives

Fitted with a Digga designed Eaton bell motors with integrated pressure relief valve and input housing.

The innovative design, with hoses routed out of the top of the unit allows the gearbox to go down the hole to maximise drilling depth without extensions, eliminating downtime and minimises maintenance, optimising your returns.

HALO Alignment System

The new HALO alignment system option is being introduced, which uses simple 'green for go, red for no' LED light ring to ensure alignment. The indicator is in clear line of site for the operator and is easy to set up.

No need for a spotter and spirit level to guide the operator - HALO does not take holidays or sick leave
Never take your eyes off the job
Ensure holes are drilled plumb and reduce the number of in-hole angle adjustments;
Get back to drilling faster after returning the auger into the hole
HALO costs significantly less than traditional systems & eliminates the need for a costly in-cab display
Can be 'zeroed' at vertical or at a specific angle if required.

Auger Flights

Depending on your machine and the size of drive unit you select -
and our sales team will be happy to advise on this - you can have auger flights from 100 mm on smaller excavators and up to 1,500 mm diameter on excavator up to 10 tonnes. For machines up to 60 tonnes, diameters up to 1,800mm are available.
